Mandevilla laxa (Chilean Jasmine) is a semi-evergreen, woody, twining climber with strong fragrance and rapid growth. It has sprays of 3–15 big, creamy-white, funnel-shaped blooms that can reach up to 3 in. (8 cm) in diameter and have broad petal lobes. A pleasant vanilla scent emanates from the blooms, and it is strongest in the evening.
